One operating picture for a trade mission.
A trade mission moves fast. Itineraries shift, briefings pile up, and the principal needs the right page at the right moment. Doyen Missions is a product concept being developed with agencies to test whether one living operating picture can replace the binders and back-and-forth.
For the trade & investment agencies and ministries that run delegations.
Why now
Delegations have become more ambitious. Their operating tools have not kept pace.
Agencies and ministries are running more ministerial delegations again, and they are still running them out of a binder, a shared drive, and a thread of last-minute emails. The agenda changes the night before. The briefing nobody had time to read sits in an attachment. And the moment the plane lands, what was promised in the room starts to fade.
- Reprinted binders that are out of date before wheels-up
- Three versions of the agenda and no one sure which is live
- Briefings buried in inboxes, read too late or not at all
- Outcomes and commitments lost the moment everyone flies home
Proposed operating model
One proposed record for the mission's operating layer.
One operating picture
The concept would bring itineraries, people, and documents into one authoritative record, so an approved change does not create another version to circulate.
The Briefing Room
Each meeting would have one concise brief: objective, participants, and talking points, designed for the minutes before it begins.
Assisted mission administration
A future assistant could organize approved agendas, notes, and biographies, and retrieve information across the mission. What it may touch depends on the handling and approval model validated with agencies.
Outcomes & impact
The proposed outcomes layer would capture commitments, follow-ups, and owners. The post-mission record then becomes easier to assemble and to assess.
Designed around the whole delegation
One concept, with a view appropriate to each role.
The planner
Would build the mission and maintain an approved operating picture as plans change.
The senior official
Would see the objective, the participants, and the relationship history in one concise view.
The principal
Would receive a deliberately simple view of the current meeting, the immediate objective, and what comes next.
Security & handling
The product will only proceed with a credible handling model.
A mission file can hold itineraries, bios, talking points, and meeting outcomes. The design-partner process will test the security, privacy, records-management, and procurement requirements before any agency is asked to place real mission information into a product.
Your mission, your data
The intended standard is a private workspace with role-based access, agency ownership of its data, no model training on mission records, and clear export and deletion controls.
Security before feature depth
Encryption, tenancy isolation, and records handling are requirements to validate before a pilot begins.
Scoped to the unclassified layer
The concept is limited to the unclassified operating layer of a delegation. Classified, privileged, or otherwise restricted material remains in government systems.
How the preview works
Join the design-partner list
Tell us where to reach you and what kind of missions your team runs. We invite a small number of agencies and ministries into discovery at a time.
Map the real workflow
A research session with your planning team, using a sanitized or sample mission, to identify what breaks today and what a useful product would have to change.
Decide whether to pilot
If the same need appears across agencies and the handling model is viable, design partners will be invited to assess a prototype before any commercial launch.
Early access
Help test the operating model on a real mission workflow.
Doyen Missions is a Doyen Collective product concept in validation. Tell us where to reach you and we'll invite selected agencies and ministries into design research as sessions open.
